UNSCENE, JEWELLERY AND PRESENTATION – a research project led by the Jewellery Department of St Lucas University College of Art & Design Antwerp, in collaboration with art historian Evelien Bracke and jewellery designer Liesbet Bussche – fits in the current debate on the position, context and visibility of the contemporary jewellery designer. UnScene focuses in particular on new presentation contexts in relation to the viewer. What are the potential contexts, channels, media and target groups available to contemporary jewellery? How can a message be conveyed most efficiently? UnScene wishes to offer a platform for various experiments and reflections on the notion of presentation.
